- Prof. Madsen led the design of several components of the apparatus (e.g. traps, magnets and cryostat), drove the effort to trap antihydrogen, provided intellectual leadership to the construction of the laser instrumentation, devised the experimental protocols, coordinated the experimental effort, led the analysis, wrote the manuscript, and contributed to the final editing and referee responses.
