- This paper provides the definitive publication about SEET, a Socially-inspired Energy Eco-Feedback Technology, which includes both an interactive system to trigger and mediate collective energy savings and a tangible device providing a public feedback solution. Deploying SEET within a school and associated community in Brazil led the local utility provider (Cemig) to increase investments in community engagement throughout their smart grid initiative. The SEET approach was also adopted by the EU project DecarboNet, providing the basis for an energy trial involving 150 UK households, and also resulting in a best paper award (Piccolo et al, 2014).
